Stainless Steel Heat Break for the Prusa Mini / Prusa Mini 3D printer.

This stainless steel heat break manufactured by Bondtech for the Prusa Mini addresses and solves the heat leakage issues revealed during extensive testing on the Prusa Mini.

Fitted with self-adhesive backing for easy attachment.

The length of the PTFE tube also prevents clogging between the tube and the Heat brake.

• 1x 32 x 5.48 mm stainless steel Heatbrake.
• 1x 34.5 mm 2/4″ bevelled PTFE tubing
• 1x bag of silver based thermal paste

Recommendation

We recommend using the included silver based thermal paste to correctly fit the Bondtech heat break on the Mini’s heat sink.

Notes on Heat Break Torque

To address the heat creep issue, the design features a narrower section with thinner walls. When removing the heating block or changing nozzles, caution is required.

Before removing the heating block from the Heat Break (or vice versa), heat the nozzle, hold the heating block and release some nozzle clamping pressure.

Let the whole unit cool down. Then you can simply unscrew the heat break from the heating block.

When removing or replacing a nozzle, never forget to secure the heating block before turning the nozzle.
