The Smart Materials 3D Smartfil Wood filament is a first quality PLA with a high percentage of natural wood, it does not incorporate recycled or recovered material, so it presents an excellent resolution in printing. It is available in this color and 3 more as shown in the list below:

Tips for a correct use of wood filament

Due to the high amount of wood particles can cause blockages in nozzles 0.4 mm in diameter so we recommend using nozzles with a diameter of 0.5 or higher to avoid this problem.

It is recommended to feed the printer without making pronounced turns on Bowden systems to avoid filament breakage.

It is recommended to print with a layer height higher than 0.2 mm.

It is important to prevent the material from heating up in the extruder while the printing is in standby because of the possibility of blockages caused by the crystallization of the material.

The surface appearance can be varied by increasing the printing temperature by taking on darker shades.
