PolyWood™ is a wood mimic filament without actual wood powder, which removes all risks of nozzle clogs. PolyWood™ is made entirely with PLA using a special foaming technology. It exhibits the same density and appearance as wood.

PolyWood Qualities

• Innovative wood

PolyWood™ filament uses a different combination than other woods. Instead of using polymer blends with wood sediments, Polymaker combines PLA with a unique wood-looking foam type, resulting in a wood-looking filament.

In this way, the possible blockages that the rest of the wood can cause by the sediments they contain are avoided.

• Quality

PLA PolyMax offers a very good 3D printing quality, thanks to Jam-Free technology in its manufacture.

• Biodegradable Material

You can print in an environmentally friendly way, achieving good mechanical performance.

• Light Material

The density of this innovative wood filament is 0.8 g/cm3. A much lower density than other materials (35-40)% lighter than a standard PLA.
