PolySmooth Polymaker White 1,75 mm

PolySmooth™ is a unique, easy-to-print filament designed for hands-free post processing. The surface can be smoothed with alcohol to achieve layer free models using the Polysher™.

PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) PolySmooth™ offers 3D printing performance above other PLAs, and also offers good mechanical properties. It has a high polishing capacity when exposed to common alcohols such as isopropyl alcohol or ethanol.

Layer-Free™ technology involves exposing a 3D printed part to an aerosol of micro-sized alcohol droplets, generated by a rapidly vibrating, perforated membrane called the nebulizer. The aerosol will then be adsorbed by the surface of the 3D printed part and render it smooth and layer-free.

PolySmooth™ Qualities

• Polishable

PolySmooth™ is designed to easily print models that require certain mechanical properties above any normal PLA. It offers great ease of polishing with alcohols, offering smooth and uncoated finishes. This finish is achieved with the Polysher.

• Easy to print

PolySmooth™ filaments are suitable for any 3D printer. The working conditions are similar to a PLA. It does not need a warm bed.

• Optimized for support

PolySmooth™ has been designed with properties similar to Polysupport, so that the removal of support is less forced. No more excessive damage to the supports.

• No warping

Low residual tension. No warping effect.

• Biodegradable Material

You can print in an environmentally friendly way, achieving good mechanical performance. Despite not being a PLA, PolySmooth™ odor emission is low.
