Details

• This is a coating for sanitary use.
• Formulated with epoxy resin, hardener and pigments.
• 2-component system
• Cures at room temperature or by applying heat

Application

• As a coating for surfaces that are to be in contact with aqueous foods
• For utensils that have to contain water or trays and/or plates for food presentation
• EpoFood prevents water from coming into contact with surfaces that may alter the quality and taste of the food.

EpoFood complies with UNE-EN 1186-3 “Materials and articles in contact with foodstuffs – plastics”, it also complies with the limit values for overall migration established by R.D.118/2003 and for specific migration of BADGE in accordance with R.D. 293/2003.

Instructions

• If the application is done manually, small mixtures should be made so that they can be used before they gel.
• The mixture must be homogeneous.
• In both cases, Part A and Part B must be homogenised in their respective containers before use.

In any case, the technical-sanitary regulation on the use of coatings of varnish and paint-based materials in relation to foodstuffs and foodstuffs of the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs must be strictly followed.

Conditions

• EpoFood must be applied at temperatures above 10 ºC.
• 5-7 days must elapse before coming into contact with water or foodstuffs.
• The coating should be washed with dilute acetic or citric acid to remove traces of hardener and after a water wash the tank can be filled or contact with foodstuffs can be made.
