Introducing i3D Tested Carbon Fiber PETG, a lightweight and stiff carbon fiber reinforced filament.

The Carbon Fiber PETG filament is based on a blend of PETG filament from 3DPrint.me with a percentage of carbon fibers.

Combining PETG with carbon fiber provides extra flexibility and strength.

This material is characterised by being quite light and rigid, capable of increasing impact resistance significantly.

The colour of the finished parts is a matt black.

Carbon Fiber filaments are ideal when you need prints that have to withstand impacts, or in general, that need good impact resistance, but at the same time have a certain flexibility.

Abrasiveness

Please note that carbon fibre filaments contain a relatively high concentration of extremely hard carbon fibres, which have an abrasive nature. In general, these carbon fibres will produce wear on brass nozzles much faster than normal filaments. We recommend the use of stainless steel or other hardened alloy nozzles.
